Keyboard shortcuts
Records Labs has a small set of shortcuts. On a Mac, use ⌘; on Windows and Linux, use Ctrl where ⌘ is shown. Single-letter shortcuts in the Help Desk never fire while you are typing in a field or while a dialog is open.
Everywhere
Keys | What happens |

⌘K | Open Search. In the Help Desk inbox this opens the command palette instead. |
↑ / ↓ | Move through search results. Home and End jump to the first and last. |
? | Open or close the Help and support menu. It does not fire while you are typing in a field or while a dialog is open. In the Help Desk inbox's Split view, ? opens the inbox shortcut cheat sheet instead. |
Esc | Close Search, a dialog, a menu, or the mobile sidebar. |
Chat
Keys | What happens |

Enter | Send your message. |
Shift+Enter | New line without sending. |
↑ (in an empty composer) | Recall your last message to edit and resend. |
Enter (while an answer is streaming) | Run your preferred follow-up action: add to the queue or send now and steer. |
⌘Enter (while an answer is streaming) | Run the other follow-up action. |
Choose your preferred follow-up action under Account settings → Preferences → Sending while an answer streams.
Notes editor
Keys | What happens |

⌘Enter (in the AI write panel) | Generate the passage. |
Brain

Esc | Step back: stop a replay, clear the selection, clear the topic, or leave full screen. |
Help Desk inbox
Press ? in the Split view to see this list on screen. The command palette (⌘K) also lists each ticket action with its key.
